Hi,

I will make msi
installer for efreeze mod.

There will be 2 versions of efreeze mod:

1: Lite version
(pk3 file only)

2: Full msi
installer version including additional maps sounds and skins

 

Lite version
will be on dedicated server while full msi version will be available on web
from stema or hod and e2k network.

 

Now i need you
all to submit the maps/sounds/skins you want to have in this mod.

Upload all
files to eFreeze Includes directory and sort it.

You'll notice
there are three directories in this directory:

MAPS      
-  Upload folder for all maps you want to have included

SKINS      
-  Upload folder for all your skins

SOUNDS  
-  Upload folder for all your costum sounds

 

So please
upload as soon as possible .. and we'll have full installation pack ready in
next few days.

If ftp doesn't
work .. please tell me.

But if you
can't connect with internet explorer then you MUST use flashfxp.

Make also third package which is not OS dependant. Not everyone have and play on Windows at home.

I can only make msi installer .. for linux and mac someone else has to do it or if you supply me with the tools i can make it.

But for now ... only msi will be available.

For those running linux or mac they'll have to download maps from web (try google).

i'll make a installation version for linux and mac when this will be done

i'll make msi and my brother will make install for linux and mac (full package)

there is onley one problem with this idea, maps is not a problem but skins and sound. you cant have 2 packages when you work with pure servers. for example i use model crusader but if i play on a pure server it does not work accept if the server has crusader to. but when you install crusader skin on a server you force when running pure all to download the skin. that means people who dont come to this site and dont have download the big file need to download the skin over quake this skin is 4 mb. you see my problem? correct me if i'm wrong

its not really fair to put in skins/models to public servs...cos then all have to get it even if they dont want it...

and plus there's already a bit of trouble getting all to get the mod....making it bigger isnt gonna help...freezeinsta has quite a few peeps...cos they cant work out how to autodload or something or they dont want their lame ways to not work or some shit...

(maybe in a week there should only be efreeze servs...much nicer)

Can't make the osp files work on the 333 servers ( green tankjrs.. ).. without any problems on poison's server tho..

No .. green models doesn't work on pure server with efreeze.
