There already are ef_novoicechatbeep and ef_nochatbeep commands or something similar.
Atrey, I already made several suggestions to protect thawsteal, and I would gladly provide one to avoid spam. Such options could be defaulted to disabled as they would consume more computation (so CPU) resources on the server.
I do not know how feasible and easy it is to implement them but I'd gladly join you and help in developping them.

, but what i would want (and have said it a 1000times) is to have a complete new set of maps!
we have been playing the same maps like what? 7 years? and yet noobs, yes noobs! only vote for dm2-dm7. it is the same everyday every hour every time i connect. except weed server!
new maps make the game more interesting as new maps and their spawns must be learned and new tactics could arise. also the very good teams (thats maybe why they will cry about it) would loose strength because for all new maps would mean new challenges.
its hard i know, cause people (again noobs btw) change server when they dont get the map they want (reminds me of very small kids too)
anyway all servers would need to set them up and all people would have to help to spread new maps.
which maps? i know this is not true new map = good map. we would have to check out many new ones to get a good set of them. i am sure many of you have some "diamond" maps deep down in their folders, we must just dig them out!
and why it's not completely off topic ---> while atrey (and others?) create the new mod we find good maps and they must be in efreeze version so when one gets the new mod they get the new maps too, the size would be big but thats not a problem now is it?

Tantrum is a map i like+cpm maps ( cpm1 to cpm9 ) + and then we have the simpson map, ROFL, i have it, DoomDirk also, we tried it, but can't load/work : ( it is over 60 mb big about, but would own like hell. But the other maps i mentioned, focus on them ; )

* New scoreboard. I asked Spiral to design a new scoreboard layout. But it seem like he went to inactive for a long time. So, we need some1 who could make it instead of Spi. This feature is not as hard to implement. Though it will require a lot of coding. To this thing a new game display layout is needed (IMHO) which would be usable and convenient.

Yes why Abz, coz when i have fired my 999 rails i need more ammo : (
steal it from maverick? :P (1.16 noghost developer .. shouldnt be a problem - includes timeout where players can still run just rails dont do damage nor any effect on your stats & pause which stops all game movements except mouse moves. after timeouts players spawn at spawnpoints, pause they just go back to normal movements)
good doomy, also DR should try beat real S8 on real maps.
The only map we've lost, we were winning 13-8 and we've done many mistakes at the end. Be fair play monkey, accept your defeat :-)

@Atrey: ask adam about updating efreeze anti-cheat, we found some bugs (no cheats and it found one in logs) but more, it doesnt find many.
noghostlike timeout sucks. better do ufreeze/cpma like.
why it sucks? Imagine this situation: dm6, 1v5, everyone is on bridge. Then 1 player presses "pause" button, then after unpausing, this one player is spawned near frozen teammates

for all design stuff we need skilled pwnage volunteers. I think there are some in the community, we just need to find and activate them! apart from spiral, code seems to have skill, others? go go go!
kurwa polak Abz, i think 1 touch is too little, It could get very annoying in the long run, imagine u got 3 sick ppl doing it whole map(s), hook like hell, ur game will be ruined, it's 3 touches today, why not something in between > 2 touches?

2 touches are also low, sometimes pummel can 'double hit' within like 0.1 seconds... dying to a weird glitch-like feature would be frustrating
i dont really know when this would be good to implement if you just wanted stand offs to be decided by pummel when its last v last... but the idea is a bit random - dont really know why it would be useful, only for fun random matches

There are many situation, where are many people in same place, hooking near players. 2 Hits are easier than railing
if you can all argue about gauntlet so much it seems all other suggestions i made are perfect! I dont care much about gauntlet, it just was an idea. leave it then if adam gets sad, the gameplay could be made a bit slower maybe. the other points i mentioned i find very useful (almost all) - comment on them too! dont you like my ideas?

If i may add my 2 cents, there aint much to add, efreeze is a good mod right now.
Maybe adding some gadgets, and some cfg restrictions: why do i feel like pinging 70 when i have 20ms. More: i never reach 20 ping even on quasi-lan servers (near french servers are always 30-35, never less) The point is i dont know how other players make it, but i shoot through them and i dont lag, that is a real thing since im aiming the same way i was aiming 8 years ago, but i dont hit. There must be some kind of lag stuff in the code or something. And the weirdest is that sometimes, it works like before....Depending on what? Too much beer? Or am i right?

fixing spawns is really important, yesterday in dm8 i spawned beside a thaw - good, a sec later an enemy spawned and fragged me in my thawing back. the map is big as you know but the enemy spawned exacetly at my place.... isnt it better that team members spawn where most of his team is?
what can be done about not hitting with the rail? is it that you need better position calculating of players, or rail shot calculating, or better packets/rate/snaps... or a mixture between unlagged and normal?...

If good servers are coming, we could redesign the eFreeze from scratch ... It would take me personally less time than figuring out how atrey changed everything and moved everything elsewhere and also new coders could be introduced, start coding and figuring code easily ... We could have whole newly coded eFreeze with new features created in a month ... Also if more of us gonna code it, we could design things together, talk about it together and build it as efficiently as possible (more heads knows more) ... That way all coders will know where is which stuff coded, so they can easily continue without the help of others ... Also if we start coding from scratch we could also find the cause of the shooting through players people are reporting and fix similar problems which are now hard to find/fix ...
I personally have more time now for the non-business related projects, so if atrey, ben, code are interested as they were in past, we could get that started in january and finish it fastly ...

we (miss, other rus clans) now playing with pings 60-100. it is already a disadvantage for us to play with such ping. with the delta removed, it would be an even bigger disadvantage.
i don't know if some1 cares about it, but we most probably either will not play any more, or will challenge others on our moscow or saint-petersburg servers, where others will have 120 ping. then tell us it will be unfair.
i vote for the shooting to stay as it is. it is not for players with ping 10-30 to complain about it. ask burzyk and tokz how do they shoot normally. or try to change the cl_timenudge variable.
1. I got clean q3 arena code from the 1.32 sources.
2. I've applied the freezedt-150b patch on it.
3. I've made a diff between efreeze-1.02 and the freezedt.
4. I've cleaned the patch by removing all the unimportant stuff (whitespaces, comments, etc).
5. I've applied the resulting patch on the freezedt tree. So, I've got efreeze-1.02 mod which has the q3 1.32 codebase (you can see it by looking at the servers menu).
6. I've applied my changes to the sources. So, I've got ef-1.2.
I setup a git repository where you can see all the changes. If you need I can pm an address to you.
Making 100 pings play like they have 50 ping is a nice improvement IF that doesnt make 30 pingers shot like they have 70!
I dont pay my isp to have correct ping to feel a lag in my favorite mod =/
and meh for what atrey said, possible to meet a new solution/compromise with more people coding maybe? i know absolutely nada about this stuff but maybe its possible to turn things on/off so during a war it can be on, public servers off?

you should host your own server and see how 0 is.

When I built the mod I had in my mind to build it in a way most mods are, so if anybody who've ever looked at a source from ID Software would know exactly where to make new changes in the eFreeze source, as it was organized the same ... I just put comments where changes or new stuff was built, sometimes without saying what it is ...

As for the smooth shooting you've created ... I haven't checked what was changed, but I'm encountering same problem as pSylle is saying ... I rather play on 36 to 58 ping than 31-33 ... I can't just aim at a player and shoot, as it misses or goes through ... I see the trail right into him, but he just doesn't die ... Of course with a timenudge on 0 at that ping and everything set as it should be ...
Anyway, need to check what you've made differently at shooting to give more suggestions ... But guess it's too much things involved that it would be able to create that server would just check if a players has this command set on it would work for him and not others ...
To go to Svarog, here it's not whether you can or can not help, it's either you want or not help ... :-)

It's possible and added to the features request list. A complete timestamp sounds kindda big, though why not. Here is its description, please correct me if i'm wrong:
Chat timestamp: Ability to add a timestamp at the start of a chat line (whether vsay, say or say_team). Four format possible (e.g. 4th July 1776 13:12:43):
- 1 (short_time): "13:12"
- 2 (long_time): "13:12:43"
- 3 (short_date): "4/12 13:12"
- 4 (long_date): "04/12/1776 13:12:43"
