Hey guys!!!
It's time to create and put some new changes in eFreeze and fix most, if not all problems from previous versions... I'm AGAIN collecting new or not implemented ideas to be done in next version of eFreeze. Now it's time to get your idea(s) implemented in the mod, as they're GONNA BE IMPLEMENTED SOON!, so don't miss that chance ...
I'll be updating this post with the ideas, so far:

But could you disable polish swearings? That would be something

ye swedish swearings are so common! 1 swear word per month, and ppl don't even know what
swedish swearing words looks like. Polish swearings have occured 24/7 in servers for 356 days * 9 years and
the words aren't changing, i think i speak for the rest of us.

Please do not add additionnal constraints and/or change the game. No anticamp for instance. If people want to camp, so be it. Camping is as much part of the game as hooking. Do not restrain weaponchange delay as somebody said but set a default value tho I guess it's already the case (then this would mean whoever changes it is aware of the consequences, so whoever criticizes a different weaponchange delay should just either create his/her own server or join another one).
Also, about languages: You can't prevent two polish people from talking polish to one another. This would be a private convo and it doesn't seem unappropriate to have private convos in q3 (even tho msn best suits that purpose). BUT, obviously some people do abuse the lax of moderation. The only thing we can do imho is lay down the rules clearly so everybody knows which server is european and which is polish. Also, adding responsible administrators (ones who don't kick people just because they have fun (and yes, fun may be faking a friend's name to some weird northern people (
) (and yes, I'm pointing out some specific story without naming it (and yes, I should stop opening parentheses))))

Anticamp WAS useful and will be useful, if it's gonna be used correctly
reload time: It was wrong decision to make it changeable. Same with hook. Coz ppl changed on 1 public server and they were laming around when it comes to cw.
I dont like fast hook - i can leave it and dont use

Honestly, no, I don't remember every map of every match I've played so how could I remember matches I neither played nor attended?
I don't see the point of forcing people not to camp. I don't see the point of adding constraints to restrain players from doing something they might want to do. But I'd be glad to hear another POV and be confronted, so please, Adam, explain to me why you think an anticamp should be added.
Dan, I don't see your point about polish swearings. Who cares weither people swear in their natural language or in english? Do you find "sh*t" sexier than "m*rd*"? Or is it just polish swearings which annoy you?
Theres already an anticamp command, and we dont use it.

Ben: why we should? same way why we let ppl change railgun speed, and other settgins, which are changing gameplay ( Hook without delay is really making game annoying, but after X years im used to it )

New scoreboard coming? o.O. Nice but it would be nice to have option to use this older one too! Just in case if ppl prefers it u know. Player score and thaws stays by changing teams is good addon! I got some suggestions too:
- server news (like in osp when player enters to server, they see info/news box)
- when u spectate, person name is not as big as it is now. (player name text blocks so much from the screen)
- voting and fraggedmessage smaller
- timeout option (all players freeze - could be usefull during cw's if problems comes)
- map_list command what shows what maps server has (it prints to console)
- new efreeeze connection image (i can make one - using my previously known frozen q3 logo)

Yeah nice idea. Maybe even more than one loading picture, a random picture on load from the community's work, coz i ve really found Spiral's work imaginative and beautifull.
Fix: The new admin feature ad_forceteam appears to have a bug: i used it and the player was invisible in player list (TAB) more he was friendly skined but in the enemy team.

Hm.. im thinking about global banlist of cheaters, but it's more complicated than it looks like.
When new version is set to be released? I can commit for beta testing if there is a need

and yes the delays coused by positive timenudge are quite difrent at 1.02 1.2.0 and freezedt with ping 50-70 ofcourse :P.

/find different design for triangular floating over teamplayers - maybe a "frost sign"? spiral master? 
/make one hook option to have same as osp freeze (its a metal string and with it come sounds to hear hook)

Also the programmers should check out osp freeze, if they have time - just tried it once but the gameplay there was quite nice, maybe we can also "copy" some ideas from osp freeze and ufreeze...

And gauntlet, today it's 3 hits, make it 2, coz 1 is too big change for us, we must wait another
1 year before we are ready for 1 hit : D
We have some good designers imho (decki aka spiral, and shimoda).
If everyone agree it would be good if they designed new look for the eFreeze mod, like quake menus, hud, scoreboards and etc.
But before we should elaborate requirements to them.
My vision that menus should be more authentic, and hud and scoreboards should be more informative and ergonomic.

Spawning in enemy isnt fault of spwans it self, had many occasions to walk through and see how ppl walk through eachother i think its a net client setting bug :P but i can be wrong ;p
thought would be nice to have more spawnspots like on noghost-item spots used for spawning.
flight is funny but with fast hook its useless :P
well if there is no hookdealy time it has no sense abz :P
slowing down the hook would probbably start wining most of the community that mod got slower. I dont like hook faster then 1200 and 0 delay we can try to use greater pullspeed and bit lower hookspeed :P like hookspeed 1350 and pullspeed 850 :P or getting some delays

About reconnect, I just think you have to force player to spec one minute after joining a server. It should be enough boring for reconnectors and it could motivate people to say "Hello" before joining
I agree Atrey about menus, and options. It needs to be esthetic and usefull. I really like new efreeze scoreboard and menus. But the idea of smaller fonts for spectators isn't bad. Just a bit smaller will fit perfectly, I think. And a screen to display during login or a nice background could be cool too, you just have to do something that works with the menus (not too much things on the screen, no text on the same place than options menu, colors different from the menu).
Don't know if I am the only one who thinks that, but the mod itself has gone more in more in a camping direction... in that light I would at least make it possible to have an /anti camp in the mod - this could give the game more speed - any maybe more fun again. how does this anticamp work anyway? if you dont press a direction/movement key for more than 5 seconds you get a warning? and after 3 more seconds /kill? if we find the right amount of time here we could benefit from this - in 1.16 noghost "doomy's mod" it works nicely...
About anticamp ... You set an adjustable radius in which it will check for adjustable seconds if the person is in it and if he is, it will kill him ... He can as well get a message (or not) several adjustable seconds before he gets killed ...
The problem is there are situations happening in every map which is not "intentional camping" and players will get killed for it ... One of such, which is happening in every map, is for example thawing ... You can't always thaw someone in 3 seconds ... Let's give an example, you're thawing and there comes an enemy, I see lot's of people running around thaws or just left and right, sometimes he gets too far and can't thaw as he tries to kill the enemy and this last for several seconds, in such cases player will get killed for camping (depends on how many seconds this last) ... There are several situations/scenarios like that ... We had it once and we know the problems, it was removed from older version with a reason ... Shift your thinking in such situations and you'll see where is the problem with anti camp and why it was removed ...
If there will be an anti camp, it would have to be polished in every fucking detail, which is gonna take time and major beta testing ...
BTW, some great ideas I saw here, hope more will follow ... Let's keep talking about ideas, we'll go in detail about them later ...
What could be interesting is to add a command to play demos with wallhack like in freezedt cg_playwall 1 (i dont remember the command). And you could add stats like accuracy killing streak gaunt/rail...
Anticamp in noghost is adjustable u dont have to get killed :P depends of settings dead\spawned. My idea for making it more fun dead\taking damage\spawning :P
Well would be nice to check other mods to steal some ideas :P. Like nick effects bluring\fading etc .:P I know it will be more work hope so we shouldn't get to ambitious for some ideas are to complex. Remember that Q3 has large community and asking for help other modders will be good ;p.

new idea: is it possible to remove this "weapon drop"? as no one ever needs new railguns in a game
and its a sound when picking up fallen weapons and its sometimes blocking the vision - who needs this?!
And what about decreasing thawing time when more than one player is thawing a frozen buddy ? It could add some teamplay, if you can help thawers in an other way than covering them (with an option to disable it, ofc, like /s_multipleThaw).

in itself the idea is not bad - but i would not implement it: inorder to use it you'll have to train - but no training on public servers is possible due to no teamplay at all in public + would thus take a long time to get used to. I think it's not practical...
i have a crazy idea: no scores at all! maybe people would try to play in team once in a while - i see cattle only running from thaw to thaw and shootpoint to shootpoint blocking each other.... not even thinking a little bit like a soldier just "score score score" ... team scores only and the game would be good again...
The drop weapon stuff....i use weaponswitch 1 so when i am with gaunt and i walk on a railgun it switches (i use it as a quick shot), i bet i am the only one in the whole community using this trick =p
@insa, nick effects like shadows won't look good on efreeze scoreboard - why? coz font is smaller than in other mods
Idd adam and i think that shadows in nicks suck anyway :P even with larger fonts. Well i have no idea how will the new scoreboard will look like :P so picking any effects or having none of them isnt so important just and idea :P well having a column like scoreboard would be fine too :P

This reconnecting thing can be annoying sometimes. How about the idea like in cpma that ppl who joins the team has to wait round to be finished 1st and then they can play? Or they get frozen immediately when they join the team. Something... would be nice...
Another thing which is freeze basics, autothaw time as persentage top right corner (if i recall it right). Could be usefull - dunno.
autothaw persentage - it's good, coz if someone is thawing u, he know if he's far enough to thaw u :P
And we could had: if someone starts to thaw a guy and is stopped at 75 percent, the next one only needs to complete the 25 percent left.
but sometimes a round can last for ages
Enemy models setting, personaly i like and im using one and the same model for team and enemy. Is it possible to use variable that would turn it on\off so there would be no configuration issues? :P

Personally i think this would easy too much thawing. Thawing should be lil harder in middle of fight so i prefer how it is like now.
I like Spiral's Autothaw-Percentage idea very much!
But in my opinion "Part-thaws" as psy suggested is not such a good idea: 1. as deem said some rounds would last even longer. 2. This would ultimately undermine my thawing-skills

it was beast who didn't want me to spec a regular fn cw(obviously). I dislike when abusive noobs have adminrights, he could had asked me to leave the server.
Abt thaws its visible that there is part thawing in freeze :P ie when u are around frozen ppl and try to thaw them if u leave before the thawtime someone else has some miliseconds to keep them thawed :P
partial thawing with unlimited "warmth" time ;p isnt good idea couse it would mess the speed and i'll bet there would be more and more thawsteals :P.

yeah, partial thawing exists in a way, so leave it at that (though its sometimes bad for me
antichatfrag is not a bad idea, but as there are so many afk's and talking all the time it would be really annoying to wait for all these people - after all it's a shoot 'em up game - talks can go spec!

Few suggestions more:
- When u spec someone, his/her name shows up similiar like in cpma (small text, different location - in cpma its bottom). See the image:

NOTE: there u can see also that recording demo font is smaller too - that would be nice addon too.
- Date in scoreboard. Just look the image and see how it is in cpma (bottom). Web site address is optional as well maybe eFreeze mod and version too. So everytime when u press TAB to see scores u will see date n stuffs in bottom too. Image:

- New console background... like in ra3 mod its transparent. Image:

Can't say if everyone likes these addons (after all, thse are bling bling stuffs). But i dont like big texts in my q3 screen and if all fonts and alerts/text etc are adjustable, fonts could be smaller. And date in scoreboard would be usefull btw.

it's probably adjustable by cfg, coz i have that message on top 
i like spirals input! transparent console would be awesome! drawing date and smaller fonts is a good idea too! nice!
I already have transparent console.
Its like in the defrag mod, all fonts are adjustable, and their place on screen too.
Also, the demo cams in defrag pwns (camera views, ghosts etc, but its done only for making movies imo).
Moreover, some made a "server bot" for defrag servers with stats data and commands. Its like !mytime and the bot answers the best time you made, or !top5 and it answers the top 5 times. Make me think efreeze could have some stats like *Killing streak* *more time without beeing fragged* etc (any stats suggestions are welcomed).

how about average per minute in the scoreboard?
1. Closing doors do not squash corpses.
2. Corpses can't go into teleports.
Deem that would be unnecessary i think.

I mentioned the computer voice says "Accuracy" - same time I would drop out "defense" by computer voice and it's signs, cause it's a cft thing not a tdm thing...
I downloaded this new efreeze thingys on this "D server" no idea who made it... but the new purple railguncolor is a funny thing - though there should be more creativeness! also the transparent console should be made half-transparent (as shown in spirals screenshot) because when you drop down the console now, you can't read a thing

What I thought about already was suggested but some ideas kind of disturb me. Those are the ones about gameplay.
I believe such ideas should be discussed, parametrized, and we should all vote for a default server configuration file.
The other ideas (graphic) are client sides, so adding possibilities would mostly be an improvement..

another idea:
when spectating players (when you are frozen) and you get hit by gauntlet/rail the spectator mode jumps to the one who hit you - it's really annoying! maybe turn that off!

When i play i force models, enemies to green keels and teamates in whatever i want. But sometimes (especially in clan wars) when i spec 333 i see them as enemies (green keels) whereas id prefer to watch them as teamates. Is there a way to fix that? (an option which makes that the one you spec is always teamates skined/modeled or enemied or randomed).

In tournament game make the second score window reflect the opponent score (now it shows 0).
fix vsay bug if its possible some times wrong client names are shown using the vsays ;p.
make same protection as on 1.32 pb /name flood protect, /vsay flood protect... /reconnect protect
Moreover i dont know if the say / vsay buffer overflow bug is already fixed but if not, servers can be crashed.

Change (Override?) spawning algorithm.
Imho, whenever a player spawns, server should choose a spawning point depending on the following settings:
- A = Sum(distance[ennemy,spawnpoint]), for every ennemy, with a minimum treshold setting
- B = Sum(distance[frozen_ally,spawnpoint]), for every frozen ally, with a minimum treshold setting
- C = Sum(distance[ally,spawnpoint]), for every ally
It should have as little A, B and as much C as possible.
This would limitate spawn frags both ways. Also, no "lucky" spawns nearby frozen allies (which generally are camped, anyway).

Dis a member of freezeDT US community on 1.32 asked for some s/cvars in efreeze mod. Thats quite interesting: Theres a dmflag to turn off those railguns laying on the floor, the frozen bodies are white (and they breath steam as far as i remember), and finally when you grapple someone you can travel with him, he told that people appreciate that last one =D

Those values are set from server side but if anyone uses other mods, and there are many of those nothing cant be helped, and ppl lag mostly couse they use p2p thats f*cking up their pings etc. some of them do it intencionaly just like modifing the cfg for not getting hit so easly.
Thats why adam suggested that those settings may be viewed from admin side.

Instant freeze (and noone cant thaw) when u join the team!! Just look how osp, ra3 and cpma have made the gameplay so well. The person who joins the team, he needs to wait in team before red or blue scores - then he can play. This feature would help a lot in efreeze since there is lots of those lame reconnecters
But if you join a server with only lame campers, you have to wait a lot before playing :/ But it's better than the actual situation, I agree. If people was respecting the rules, we wouldn't be obliged to do such a thing.

I've another simple idea (I don't know if someone already proposed it) but why not adding a little video while introducing the game ?
We can do just the logo of quake which is freezing (2-3 seconds) or something like this. Maybe even a nice frag and with guy who is freezing in the air, why not :-)

Nah locking teams isn't a good solution, coz teams may become unbalanced when two or three people from the same team are disconnecting at the same moment, maybe to have sex together.
But as someone said, when you come to a server preventing people to join the game directly could be cool. Maybe just 10 seconds could be enough to prevent them from abusive reconnections. And maybe that people will say hello, if they can't play directly =D
Indeed for both reasons named by Andi & Thomas, it would be great to have a 10s time-span without possibility to join-game to whoever joins the server.
Decided to make some progress.
Scheduled tasks:
1. connection time-span for reconnecters
2. score-lossless team change
3. updated respawn logic, which, in theory, will make respawns closer to "friends" and further from "enemies".
4. optional in-place respawn (respawn where you were frozen).
Take a look @ the 15 last pages, there are some nice ideas =D

All the scheduled tasks except in-place spawning were implemented.
Also fixed very annoying bug with the default value ef_enemyColor/ef_teamColor.

OK it may look a bit complicated, but it's really simple. It won't prevent people from shooting a thaw to make it less exposed (a thawsteal protection consisting of avoiding frozenbodies to move would do that). And if the thawing player dies, the thawstealer still can thaw (he ain't prevented from thawing anymore since the "Former Thawer" got frozen himself.
Of course, it won't prevent everything, for instance, the thawstealer may shoot the frozenbody in order to expose it so the thawing player gets frozen which in turn allows the thawstealer to thaw both bodies. If such possibility becomes a general laming behaviour, it shouldn't be hard to set a count per player of thawstealing attempts deprecating w/ times which when reaching a given treshold would lead to an exclusion of the thawstealer.
I'll soon post another protection idea, this time targeted against spam (it should be based on a simplified Damerau Levenshtein algorithm ==> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damerau%E2%80%93Levenshtein_distance)
I have an idea, if you choose to set cg_drawgun 0 you cant see the gun, maybe the sight can change color to actually tell you when the gun is reloaded.

why not set servers that a player looses health when jumping from too high... he may crater or get gaunted faster, it would add a little "spice" or a difficulty to the game to make it more interesting
Ben, it could be even more simpler. If a player is being thawed, it just can't be moved by any weapon shot/hit from team-mates other than the thawer. So, a mate who started thawing is the only mate who can move the frozen bodies (if he wants).
Frozen bodies which are not thawed can be moved by everyone.
all good ideas, maybe too complicated over all. to me the best is still to "ban" thawstealing, meaning it is a community rule not to thawsteal; thawsteal = when a player started thawing another moves the body that he will get the thawscore.
its a public phenomenon of course. tell people we dont want it, i watch for thawstalers always and there are really not many who do that, when you see a person, it's mostly the same ones, with a few punishments it should be done as well, kick/ban for some time (at hardest!)...
i had another idea: why make joining in a match not in the same manner as quake live clan arena meaning that a player presses join match (red/blue/auto) button and then he/she starts at the end of a 1 score round. then there cant be any "noob-joints" like being last when joining when the team has frozen all other players - it's very annoying i think! furthermore we could introduce auto-balance of teams. for clanwar this rule could be applied too, but i am not for it in this case - so different settings for "official matches".
not really for the forced auto-balanced teams... sometimes in zs practise we do 2v5 amongst each other on purpose.
still i stick by my idea of making the mod unlagged like freezeinstaunlagged and freezedt

Pro: i like it :P, we could get lots of new faces to ef from 1.16.
Con: if it was that great for every1 we would have made it unlagged a while ago. Some people just cant or dont want to change and i understand that they love the mod as it is.
so for me thats fine, i just go to 1.16 if i wanna play unlagged (and believe me -> that doesnt implicate that i never shoot through or miss some WTF-i-hit situations)
if its possible: /cg_delag 1 / 0 to turn client side unlagged on / off could help every1 to get what they want xD. i just dont know how that works with serverside part of unlagged?
so overall: let the community decide 
the next things i would add (sorry i havent read every post):
timeouts (can be called by each team during matches if some1 times out or just to switch players)
pause (a cmd only for ladder refs / admins which can be used if there are problems of any kind)
anticamper (set to any value the person that camps gets a warning and dies after ignoring that - could be set to something around 15 seconds)
lockteams (useful for wars, not necessary as i think most that join ef servers are nowadays grown up enough not to jump into an ongoing match)
those are the things i miss compared to noghost.

ye inactivity dropping is a good thing but anticamper is gr8 for cws. its not that you cant keep a room then anymore its just to prevent people from hiding in some corner with gauntlet for like 5 minutes and to make the game faster and more dynamic.
in general gauntlet should be disabled like in insta-unlagged :P
i am absolutely against removing gauntlet shot! it's such a nice feature, i love it, though all should use weed server settings for that - i just cant get the gshot to work on every server like on weed. ...and still got no help 
inactivity drop is already in the mod, its just not used in server cfgs. it is a bit buggy though, thats why i demanded to fix it several pages ago.
we also talked about the anti-camp option before. in my experience this also doesnt work properly. you stay calm, then when moving again it still kills you. this would also mean a change in the gameplay we have atm. dynamic maybe an argument, but in general i am again absolutely against an anti-camp feature.
to make the game more interesting, i would go 1st with none: means stay-frozen after a round ends. 2nd. i am still for introducing far more custom maps than we have now! ppl refuse to learn them and fear loosing on it. new maps must be selected carefully of course! i alone cant decide if a map is good in a 5vs5 or a public game, thats why i'd recommend to introduce them slowly - put the same customs on all servers (admin arrangement) start with 3-5 new ones, try them a certain ammount of time (2weeks - 1month) remove those who dont fit and then introduce 3-5 new ones...
timeout option is a nice feature (which I also suggested pages before) - I am for introducing it. BUT the duration of the time out should be discussed before and, if necessary be adapted according to the needs.
I dont see why we would need a refree pause option though. give reasons.

I thought about a "lock-team" option. It is generally not a bad idea, but in public you can seldomly use it and for clanwars it's not needed, as I haven't seen any noobish join-ins in a long time.
and a fn sidenote for refrees: since we had this big discussion about how many refrees in a match... I noticed that refrees are only present at important or rather "big matches" - ok we dont have many refrees atm. but to be absolutely fair and avoid double standards there should be a refree on EVERY single match played. or we should think about the need of refrees in a match at all (if not requested by one of the teams beforehand)

just to tell you why i like it so much atrey: i love the sound of the switching progress, when there's first the sound of the gauntlet and the railshot sound is cut off at the beginning. also (on weed server settings!) you get the feeling of "casting" the rail instead of just shooting. so to sum it up, a fair solution would be to enable/disable it server sided, but i would definitly leave it as option in the mod!

pause: it could be cool when like in the RW vs K&D match 2 RW players 999 and no subs are on spec. either players use like 3 timeouts or a ref just pauses the game for them - just helps avoiding such anoying situations.
why u say refs are only at big games? look at whitey, whenever he has time hes there. also gibon vs drc i saw him bein present. i myself watch some games when i see whitey isnt around, same goes for code. some clans complained that admins arent refs and shouldnt watch matches so thats why i stay away more and let ring/whitey handle it. still if u look at cw screens u can see that not only the big matches are covered but ofc if there are 2 matches at a time and 1 ref is present usually the better game is chosen (ud do the same :P). on the other hand if clans play that still have 1 player banned or any other exceptions we go there, at least for the first map to make sure everythings fine.

to anticamper: sure it kills u when u move. because it assumes u camp a certain place when u stay within a certain radius (which can be set to any value ofc). so its not enough to move 2 steps to the right not to be killed (would kill the whole purpose wouldnt it?). also ye its true, your clan would be one of those that feel the change the most as your tactics involve camping. for other clans it would be a great relieve knowing that their enemies cant camp them all the time. so that should be worth a poll i think.
maps: as i said like 100 times - my proposals are ospdm1, pro-q3tourney7 and fr3dm1. im also for adding more but ill have to test some others how they work with hook. i dont want maps on the list where people can hide above every room, u know what i mean

We tested a lot about the anticamp 4 years ago ... Most wanted it in, but when it was implemented things didn't go as we all imagined, problems soon arise and everyone wanted to get rid of it ...
You see it's easy to think that you'll get frozen if you don't move or move in certain radius, but when things are tested, it's totally different story. You think for example that 15 or 30 seconds are long, but when you'll be moving just left and right to kill players or thawing more thaws, you'll just be getting warnings about you camping and you'll get killed in few seconds if you don't move ... It just sucks ... And if you put anticamp on a minute or more, what's the point of it anyway ... Also it never is a problem to hook on roof and ground and just have another minute or more for it ... Of course depends on the settable radius ...
It is great in theory, but in practice it is just a total disaster ... We can test it again of course and you can see it for yourself ...
As for gauntshoot, some ppl like it others don't, blame Adam for starting promoting it ;-)
Of course there's a setting for switching delay, which can be set to normal and this won't be doable ...
Also you can totally disable gauntlet in any mod through cfg ...
As for timeouts, well again it could be great in theory, but all I had from it was bad experience ... Especially in noghost clanwars, when ppl did a timeout because someone needed to take a leak and we waited there for 5 minutes ... And as he wasn't back within those 5 minutes they took another timeout ... Not to mention third was used for some other bloody reason ... And then you're like waiting in a clanwar for 10 minutes and can't do shit about it as they have their 3 timeouts to use ... After some clanwars it became so boring and annoying we never played there again nor we ever probably will ... Even if only admins would be able to use it, it would just get abused too many times and if it wouldn't, there'll be drama about admins not giving them a timeout ...
Again, I have nothing against implementing things mentioned ... We can do that and test it for ourselves and then decide ... I'll stick with what majority likes and wants ... Just throwing my experience and opinions in the topic ...
ye u mentioned most of the contras i guess :P. i also agree with what u said in most points. anticamper does work gr8 on 1.16, sometimes u get the warnings while u r trying to kill a bunch of people, thats true but as far as i can tell on 1.16 every1 adjusted to it and learned to use it as an advantage even. plus: shouldnt hook make getting out of the radius even easier? u can just quickly leave the area and hook back, combine that with some kills and it can be seen as a manouver to avoid being hit :P.
we could give each team just 1 or 2 timeouts maybe so they have to use it whisely. make those about 1.5 - 2 mins long and its enough time to either restart the router, reboot the pc even in most cases and the score wont be affected much by some1 getting and unexpected disconnect.
if we make it a ref-only option that would implement that for every match 1 ref is present to assure every team the same chances. also every ref has to stick to certain rules for when to use the timeouts / pause. so there should then be 1. some more refs as 2 (or 5 with admins) cant cover every single match atm and 2. a table stating all possible cases when a referee should interact in form of a timeout. so that takes lots and lots of organization compared to the team-called timeouts.
the gauntshots i can live with, i dont love them but they just made their way into efreeze and for many players became an important feature of the mod

to the hook to the roof/ground thingy -> does ac radius even take up/down movements into account? the 1.16 ac only wears off when moving out of some sort of cylinder - so only when u get out of range horizontally.

in general i would not make too many rules for every little detail or incedent that may occur. as money isnt involved and we play for fun after all we should rely on the "common sense" of the teams keeping the game fair and sportsmanish
the thing with refs i was maybe not aware, but we could do with more refs - svarog, sobian, loxotron, tokz, alien - are some names i would suggest; usually this is stuff for fn forums true, but as maybe even a bigger part of the community watches the 333forums, i dont feel bad about dropping a line here.

don't call me blasphemic, as we have efreeze for quite some years now, i forgot about the advantages/disadvantages about freezeDT. would it be a good idea to just go back to freezeDT as americans still play that mod (on fn). or another freeze version/mod such as ufreeze, osp-freeze.... as the shooting seems to be the most argued point and creating an all new mod is just too time-consuming?!
i know you can't have enemymodels the way it is now and more stuff like accu on scoreboard, but as all would have to go back it is fair.
