Most likely you're using old punkbuster version. The best way to check why you get kicked is to scroll up your console a bit after you get kicked and look for PB messages. There should be a kick reason.
if you get kicked from a server on 1.32, you should check your console and scroll up to read the reason you got kicked...it will give you information. That way, its easier to understand the problem.

the time you get for updating of punkbuster in general is mutch longer as 2 min, i think you have some setting wrong. what you can do is after you enter stay in spec mode, then drop down console and watch the blue text, after a while it gives you punkbuster version and the servers version you can look if they match if not go to this website

its a verry nice tool to update your punkbuster manualy and fast.
personaly i think you have a invalid setting after the version is shown you get some serious punkbuster spam in console (all blue text) with settings witch looks like text with at the end (oke) or (valiation) at the end you get a a sentence with something like current var valiations with a number. if all those lines are (ok) you wont get kicked if either one of those lines end with (valiation) you have a wrong setting and the server will kick you.
also if you are kicked you can scrolup the console to where it say's your kicked from server cause..
some settings you can change from within quake some you can onley change in the configs, witch are in your q3basiq and efreeze folder.
