Hi everyone, i played new maps on 1.32 servers proposed by adam.
My opinion is that some are really fun to play but others are really shit (thats only my point of view). Make me think i played cpma and osp ages ago, and i remember the cpma 1.32 mappack and osp 1.03a mappack are really fun and mostly apropriated for efreeze mod, what about having a look at these and proposing them on servers? Hope that admins will have a look at them.

Yeh i've just downloaded all the maps that will be played on our servers on my new pc from this site but which do I extract to the baseq3 folder? Normally the file ends in .pk3 but here theres other things and when i open them i just get a load of weird writing in a text doccument.

the file names

eg:
qxtourney2.aas
qxtourney2.bsp

So I dunno which ones to extract someone help me plz.

bsp and aas files are in the pk3 file. Happened to me that the map.pk3 was named map.zip and i had to rename the extension to pk3. maybe youve got the same problem?

Cmooon admins! trust me those maps really worth it! i know that conservators may callvote a well known pak0 map because they dont like new ones, but for all others, who enjoy choice of mooore maps, pls consider this.

new maps won't help to move to .32. peace.

i think its to early for yet another mappack, i mean we just have a new pack a new poinrelease i think now is time to solve the problems and get settled

pfffffffffff, the point is not to "make the move" to 1.32, the point is lets profite that change to add new maps and the sooner would be the best to get used to those maps.

problem is they already added like 10 or 15 new maps when the move was done, its already a lot to download especialy for people who dont visite this site sinds they download at a wooping 10 kb\s from the servers

Dont put maps on the servers other then those in the 2 map packs on this site! Its shitty to dl it from quake itself, so if we want more maps, make a new map pack, put it on here and implement it on servers some time after the map pack was placed on here. Dont change too fast...

Having new maps on a regular basis selected and voted by a team of people would be an interesting thing. It would be nice not to have more than 5 to 10 a month though; and there were too many maps added with the 1.32 move, seemingly, more than 10. I like discovering new maps.. once in a while. Playing 90 minutes on maps nobody knows and struggling to find out ennemies and/or thaws is not what i would refer to as fun.

@ben: maybe there were introduced to many new maps, but these map packs are in the download section of this site for months now, and we already had map parties to discover them!

--> don't be so negative I'll will give you and everyone else a guided tour through the maps if you like!
