Sooner (or later) Quake 4 will come out, there's no doubt about it.
I think it will be very cool especially when i saw one of the screenshots!

If you play Quake 3, then you have to play Quake 4.Post here your info and other stuff you know or want to know about Quake 4.

Arent the graphics amazing? I bet you will need a verry good pentagon-like computer just to load the main-screen!

Meh I have some shots of quake 4...(real) once the monthly bandwidth refreshes on my hosting ill post them...

it will be a while yet...i think theyll w8 a bit after halflife or whatever 2 comes out...so it dies down a bit

personally i probably wont get it...not much interest...

Not sure - probably yes but not where i got them...

i found on a file sharing program...and its 100% deffo q4 as i know some of the things that are planned on being in there (id software did some weird stuff cant explain )

in a couple days it tracks over so just w8 a lil

ahhhh man i loved old school quake.. expecially gl quake.. man just last year me and my friend played hours of quake 1 rocket arena...

is there a release date given of quake 4?

i think roughly - october this year if not then spring 2005...No1 (not even ID and RaVeN) are sure atm..

i heard doom + quake were being made roughly the same time....not sure on it tho

i think raven is mostly going to be making it not id, but it will be a long while.. look how long doom 3 came out... what was id's last game..

i dont think they will delay it... they already announced it in a few days so it should be comming out, and it was expected around this time frame anyway so it should no.. wait let me rephrase that... it better not get delayed... even though  i wont play it i will buy it ...

wow screenshots r blowing my mind, lol if they delay it, im personally going to get revenge at ID HQ

The shots look good, but I would prefer the game to be more like QArena or UT. I don't mean the graphics of course, but the whole gameplay. If the game is designed to be SP, it is rarely (IMHO) good when played MP (DM, freeze, so on).

i think its what it will be like m8 -- since mp was around quake has always focused on it...just look at how many game engines now days are based on its multiplayer...

Idd the sp based games suck on mp (hint hint doom3 hint hint)

its a lil further back in here....31st December .....2005 basicaly (i recon will be a lil more demandin than doom3...its had a bit more time ) so maybe a pc boost needed....bah!

Anyway the ogg format will be 100% supported.

i dont think the doom3 engine could reach the speeds required for quake....meh

mmm i don't agree the doom engine can get prety great speeds in doom and i think they have built it to also stand the speeds required for quake 4 besides quake 4 demands less deatail than doom, doom is build to be as reaalistic as possible with flames comming out everywhere quake is to fast for details so i think its just a bit of changing settings menus, skins, sounds and maps and quake 4 is ready to rock to bad these things are so time consuming

128mb graphics card would be my minimum recommended tho...

with any less it wont be of able to be played on the awesome quality thats gonna be possible
