this year are a lot of new long awaited games released like Doom, Farcry, Halflife 2, Halo 2 (onley on X-box) Need for speed underground 2. and CS sourceyou will all agree with me that non of them is as good as quake but how do you like this games:

if you miss some games feel free to name them

my opinions :

Hal not tested yet

halflife 2: a bit disapoining (my opinion) the grafix of a game witch has been delaid so many times was less detaild is i expected the gameplay fair but to mutch of the same you play like 3 hours in the same map doing the same things over and over again there is no speed in the game. so in my eyes not the best game of 2004 like mutch peeps call it. and besides that steam sucks.

doom: looks wow but gameplay na did not played it MP yet but SP i found it not to amaising.

farcry: looks wow gameplay nice and just a nice game.

NFSU2 : wow this game is nice just driver true a town building nice cars beat some nooby's that is deffenently the game for me.

CS : CS SUCKS periode......

just my oponion i would like to know yours

Halo 2: Quite a good game, didn't have too long to play, but from what I could tell Single Player is not the main feature of it really. Mainly multiplayer.

Half life2: I don't touch cs-related games lol

Doom3: Very very good in Single player - very atmospheric - however multiplayer just is no good imho... Graphics of course very appealing

Farcry: I, again, haven't played this much/long time - I just got a bit bored with it to be honest. A good game, but not for me...

Need For Speed Underground 2: I'm no fan of driving games really, have NSFU 1 stored away somewhere...Played a couple hours to try and get into but only thing I liked was music...

Cs S: Bleh, cs full on...If ever had to be within a mile of one I would be likely to throw up :p

Final Fantasy 11 (this year in EU): Well it's gonna be heavily biased as I'm a major FF fan..But in short - 3rd best game I've played ever. Perhaps a bit pricey, but no matter :p

Grand Theft Auto ~ San Andreas: Not my type of game, but this was so highly anticipated I thought I'd give it a go. A good game, only real problem is cheats released so fast - so most just use them and not actually play the game. (Not me included, but most peeps) The actual game is very good, haven't found a glitch like in Vice City yet and the gameplay is quite like Vice City's too. Which also did very well..Hard to comment properally when you don't like the type of game much. :p

Fable: A decent game, and I mean it barely scrapes the decent mark. The game was too over hyped and false information was given..It was sort of bound to fail.

Sims 2: Very strange for me to get this one... It deffinately widens the gaping hole of possiblity Sims 1 left. The sims live more detailed lives etc. Pretty much everything has been widened. Only real problem is a powerful pc is needed for it. I got it to test and then gave to sister as she likes these games (using the family comp, which is quite old Windows ME) but the game runs so slow..So need to buy new pc/ upgrade computer as it goes very very choppy indeed...

Fifa 2005: I quite like football games..Nothing like playing for real so I don't get so many..Although the game is very good and I deffo prefer the managing system this time round..Only downside is that I think they release the games too early..I never see a huge graphics increase or wildly better gameplay..Although this time round the 30yard shots with ease are wiped away + gameplay is quite good...

Starwars Battlefront: Well I must say I did expect more (perhaps more of a call of duty game, as I think quite a few were) but good for senseless violence (like quake :D) and different vehicles..

Pro Evolution Soccer 4: Well...not really many changes from PES3, but I do just enjoy this game...It has a nice..*thinks of way to describe* arcade-ish sort of feel to it...Graphics are quite good and I prefer the gameplay to the Fifa series..If you already have PES3 don't really bother getting it, but if you have say PES2 or PES1 go for it, you'll like what you see.

The Getaway BlackMonday: Deffinately a very good push-off from the original. I think the graphics and improvment on driving is deffinately a very good thing. In my opinion it's a bit underated (most people are still zoned on Grand Theft Auto San Andreas) and deffinately deserves more than what it's getting...

I think I'll leave it as that for at least a bit :p

Meh as you can see I'm deffo a hardcore gamer....Plenty of new titles there for you :p

Ciao

i still like halo 1 better. halo 2 seems the same all the time, duel weapons over and over
any of u guys played call of duty or its expansion, call of duty united offensive, both very good games
Warnell: Yeah, it does get very repetitive, but I still count it better as the multiplayer :p

Matt: Yeah I had Call of Duty, wasn't too into it at the time so sold it..Went and played it round a m8s house and liked it again...Might go get...

i'm "getting" it now to bad that MP does not work with my version
aww :(

Gonna set up a lan over at a m8s house next weekend...About 12 of us or so...Should be cool :D Halo 2 for 7hours straight...eep :D
you got a X-box man i hate those things

well i dotn have time to play another game unfortunatelly, but my bro, who plays various games, is so excited of doom3!! he says that no other game, hl2 included, has the ability of involving u in a so incredible graphic and sensational experience... he really jumps out of the chair sometimes!!

i wish i had time to test doom3!! well maybe during xmass vacations!

cu, stema

REBTOR Told :

you got a X-box man i hate those things

me too...why i haven't got 1 - but rest of m8s do :p

aww stema - u must try to make some time for more games :D of course none compare to quake but some are still mucho good :D

doom 3 is awesome for sure man,

i played it over lan and i can tell u 1 thing, a) i laughed my ass off becoz of shooting some1 else, b) heartattack:) the game is soo cool if u play it no-lag with people u can directly talk with while playing:)
I played doom3 and i Loved it! But than my sound broke and my bro still didnt make it! errr farcry i played alot :) Loved the sneaking in jungle stuff and just diving in the sea lol :) I played halo2 at a friends house but i never played with a gamepad before, so I constantly lost controll over it lol. I think i was more staring at the ceilings than shooting at those strange aliens. Rest of the games i haven done yet but maybe I will in future ;)

All those other games are cool.. But I prefer real time strategy the most, like Rome Total War, Medieval Total War.. NFSU 2 is good to

But the best multiplayer game is quake, because most people are nice to you, when u enter it for the first time, people are always ready to help you! When I first came to Q3, Matrix and Mathew helped me right away :)

But in the game Jedi Knight 2, where I asked to do the BigRedStanceSlashTricky they said: open console and typ /discon  lol then I got disconnect and my PC crashed :/

Also Call of Duty is nice! But there are like 50% good ones and 50% assholes... People can be nice, but once u shot them in their head, they turn weird and on TeamSpeak they are shouting at you lol!
