hey guys..

i got a question here, as i saw with ase freeze servers at 1.16

and i also met a person (he said he came from 1.16) in 1vs1 who seemed good to me  (10-9 for me)

i'd like 2 try it out.. but how do i get there?? do i have to download some extra stuff for it or what..?

Hey Steven,

I use a Q3 switch so that I can change the version of quake im running (from 1.16n to 1.32). You don't need to install all the point releases just 1.32 and then you can change back to 1.31 or whatever when loading the game (takes 1-2 seconds to make change when starting quake). 

1.16n can be cool as they play freeze but with the normal weapons i.e. rocket launcher etc...nice change sometimes

lol thx but i got the version switcher from this site already.. but i only changes from 1.31 to 1.32, dunno how to get in 1.16 then:-/

Hey man but you must have version 1.16 to play,you can change only with the versions you have.

Check it better!! it changes to every version!! anyway its just a .exe matter:if u want i can send u via mail the 1.16f exe.

I played some 1.16 in the past, and there r also some good instafreeze servers, with pretty skilled ppl; the problem is that 1.16f if full of bugs and, dunno why, screen is soo dark!! Its the most crowded version after 1.31 for freeze though.

LOL Cheetos... although those that have seen me play might say thats realistic

Finally, I don't have any additional point releases, only 1.31 and 1.32 but i can play many versions without needing to install all point releases, although this would work ofcourse

However... I think i'll hand over to Cheetos, who's enevitable reply will be more clear than I could be in providing the solution to the switch problem

Personally I've never used the ofx switch though - So tbh don't know how it works. I use Dr Watson's Switch..switches to all nicely

Stema seems to know what he's doin tho

 Although couldn't you just install another quake into a different folder...Makes a fresh start + will be on 1.16

Meh I'm too tired to think well atm, damn caffine should do it's job better!
