My name is Wh1t3Shark. I'm 1.32 the leader of |TsW| The Shadow Warriors. I play for my friend ^HoD^Rayen in his Clan and we wanna try to change something in the Quake 3 Communty!

I play normaly with a Ping of 22ms (osp mod) but on the 1.31 Server are all Server with baseQ3 mod! That mean that i got an 60 Ping and it's very terrible to play Quake!

I spooke with ^HoD^p0ison and we wanna change the Server to osp Frezze, than the Pings are better. We wanna ask you if you switch your Servers to.

Do heard anytime about the Chat Programm "mIRC" ? Every Clan get his own channel where all Member and other Guys stay. Our Clan |TsW| #tsw-clan got about 60 Guys in it and HoD #^HoD^ just 5 at the moment. It would be really cool when your Guys can create your own Channel and it's easier to organize Clanwars or Trains. Just typing /join #[name of the Channel] and you are inn. You can stay in 15 Channels or more!

What the fuck is mIRC ?

mIrc is a kind of a Chatroom where you can talk with you Friends, mates or Members.

How i can register my Nick ?

You type in the Channel /msg Q hello your@email your@email

Example :

/msg Q hello Wh1t3Shark@gmx.de Wh1t3Shark@gmx.de

Than you recive an Email in a few Seconds. you get a Password. This Password is very important! type all in you Perform list to get automaticly @ when you are joining ur Channel

How i can create my own Channel ?

You type in the Channel just /join #[ur Clanchannel name]

Example : /join #*333* if the Channel are empty than you get @ This mean that you are the operater and you can kick, ban, change topics or give other Members @. Than you go to www.quakenet.org Click Login and type ur Username + password. Than Service and type you Channel. You get than a L Bot and these L Bot mean that that Channel are urs.

Important : To get an own Channel you need 5-6 Members in the Channel for 1 Hour!

Na you shouldn't lag because of a mod change - When you say your ping is 22 in osp - Do u mean in the timer above the lagometer or the one on the scoreboard?

The scoreboard is a lil inaccurate with ping - Pings are usually lower than what is said. But the lagometer one is much more accurate, giving readings to about 5 ping difference at max.

If it was scoreboard and there was a difference I'm not sure - Maybe just osp has a more accurate reading of it.

Add this to ur config to see the ping drawn above lagometer - /cg_drawping 1 -- This command only works if it's added to ur config - Not straight from console like the other commands.

Btw 60 ping is fine to play quake in most peeps eyes

The server script is easy yes, although I'm not too sure on how to add freeze to osp?? I remember seeing it somewhere tho.. - Luckily p0ison knows what he's doing

Personally I think this is deffinately a good idea to switch - So much more options with osp (specially enemies wise) + Some tweaking and osp looks better than baseq3

/nomip 511 for example..Although on freeze wouldn't see it

Would deffo come and visit the freeze scene a bit with osp -- Just like the mod alot

Tbh i cant remember the last time i found a freeze osp serv - quite a whle bak -- but the allseeingeye might be of some use here

I'd give a small lil list of things that are extras if it changed - example changing enemy colours+models -- making all ur teams rails the same and all ur enemies the same..Just some nice stuff

mirc is a great prog, i havn't used it for a while now, i dont really find a need to
