the italian translation is "canederli", but we can call it knodel as well.
Its a winter north-italy dish, probably in the south they dont eat it.... and i like it very much!!

Ok, now i know the english word for that. today my mom bought a soup from a "bag" and here's what is says (i took a picture of the bag):

So it's Dumpling ... lol what a word! 
Here's what i found:
