Europe Extreme Elite

Even tho, right now, i am not liked very much on this forum, i have a suggestion to solve the USA vs Europe battle. It is a bit like a league except we play Home and Away games. Home for us being in a European server. Away for us being a USA server. All clans, both USA and Europe shall take part? maybe?

Anyway i would like to see your views on this. It may not be a popular suggestion because we might get owned on USA servers, and USA clans might get owned on European servers, but i kinda like this idea. It is the closest u will get to solving USA vs Europe argument.

It seems better than us all flying to USA or them all flying to Europe just to play each other :P

It seems like a good idea, and with some organisation, i think this might just work :P

was thinking the same, but then again its hard. Like you allready know me and lyor played there for uitte sometime now ( me even longer ) and it takes quitte sometime to get your timing and stuff on.. but im willing to give it a try again =)

ye i think it is more fair tho if we have home and away games and we have a joint league with all clans. There wouldnt be a disadvantage for any of the clans because they would play vs a clan home and away. They would have  2 find timing on our servers. Every disadvantage we have on their server, they have on our servers. It makes sense and thats why i think this will be the most fairest way 2 sort USA vs Europe out :P If this happens, it will also bring the 1.32 community and 1.31 community more closer, and maybe all servers in 1.32 will become eFreeze.

Well if this does happen there will be a mod problem aswell. In 1.32 they use FreezeDT and here we use eFreeze. Maybe eFreeze and european server will be home for us and FreezeDT and USA server away for us? I wouldnt really mind which mod i play on :P

And one thing i am wondering, in 1.32 in the league server, the gtv server looks like it is FreezeDT not eFreeze. Can u get FreezeDT settings on eFreeze on ur cfg? if so maybe the mod problem could be solved, we play eFreeze with eFreeze settings and they play with FreezeDT settings? - I have no clue about this settings thing, maybe some1 could explain why GTV server looks like it is on FreezeDT and doesnt look like it is on eFreeze, even tho league server is pure.

not sure about the technical part. But I think we have to pick one mod for the league would be easier..
also there was a server in usa where i pinged 90 or so. So If we use a server like that =).. and i know some americans ping also 90 to some european servers =)

This could be a problem, i still play for WaR, and I still play for 333 - who do I play for in this kind of league? Apart from that, I think it will not work cause of the 6 (to 7) hours of time difference , when we're coming home from work or uni, they will still be there. It'll be a major struggle to get enough players showing up from both sides.

Well, Crissy it's nice you thought about this problem. But as Lyor said, I think that there are too many problems: diff. mod, diff. time, diff. versions...

We could try to arrange a date for an "allstar team battle" or something, just for the fun, but I think to organise a whole league with USA is just too difficult!

I like your idea though to bring 1.32 closer to 1.31 but we still have the cd-key problem, otherwise I guess we would have already moved!

plz for who dont got a cd key buy your q3 on ebay for 5$ or something! =) And i dont know how it's now but since the q3 code has been public they wont sell the game anymore so maybe there wont be cd keys for q3 anymore =o

i have ping 250 on USA servers :P it is like playing on european server with lag!:P

You might have lag, but there's no cheaters, it's easy once you get used to the rail lag. =)
