Hello all,

I am trying to make a server that is up on the internet. I have tried to hold server through the internet but it hasnt worked yet. Everytime i try, it is not seen by anyone on the internet. I think i need some help. When i make server, i make from multiplayer menu. On the dedicated thing i make it internet, not LAN. So i guess the server should be on the internet, but it is not. I need some help to get it on

its your firewall ! shutdown it !or configure it to allow q3 as server !

i have already tried to configure it to make it allow quake 3....... that didnt work too well

are u just wanting to try to make a server or are u wanted to create a public server that others will play on from far and wide

as i noticed you just got a net upgrade from 512 to 1meg i also have 1 meg but my uploads around 13kbs not somthing i could make a server with that does not 999lag 24/7

any way gl with it and tell me when u get it sorted maby it will be ok for uk peeps

lol 1st thing is 1st...... get it onto the net so other peepz can join i think my upload thing is better than that

skunk is 10meg and only 60kbs upload and that can relay only suport uk peeps and laggs if any one comes from out side the uk

hehe mine came out better than urs im not wireless anymore so mines not like 950, mine goes at true speed and my upload speed is 256 or 240 something which it came up as

nice not sure how that will cope but im sure it you will be able to suport a server you probs just wont be able to have lots of peeps on the server at one time

i think but not sure stema server was 1000kbs upload if not and i have just made this up im sorry but im sure i saw him say it ones in a server

is frag the only word in your vocabulairy vikesh?

you need 30 kbs  for each players !! download and upload , so u can create a 5 player server with your connection !

and you must have an fastpath connection for good ping !

But player won't take 30kB/s if it server has 10 slots
I have 4mbit/512kbit and it doesn't lag with 10 ppl ( sometimes it is unlaggy with 12-14 )
