hey guys ..

as there was a bit less fun in 2005 as in previous years, we'll be starting a league somewhere on the second half of this month .. also after it, there'll be a 2v2 tourney, maybe an 1v1 is coming too or maybe some other interested leagues, we'll see .. 2006 will be the activest year and MOST FUN so far in EU freeze community, so be sure u participate in it

ok, back to league .. we decided to create a league of 5 best clans which will need to qualify for their place throughout the playoffs ..

so how will qualifying looks like?

there'll be playoffs which will be played by all sign-upped clans. Best 2 clans will qualify from the first playoffs and best 2 clans in the "loser playoffs" ..

u'll see how "loser playoffs" will looks like, but to give u a quicky there'll be all clans there except the best 2 from the first .. (as all will once lose except them)

why's this? it's more fair that way, u "won't have the (un)luck" to get like just worst or just best clans and if u'll play the best clan in ur first round in playoffs u can still play the other losing clans in other playoffs and maybe be best there, competition will raise and we'll be sure only 4 best clans will qualify in the league .. (to give u an example, if exs and oni plays the first round and one team fell out, they're not out yet, they'll play other teams which lost in playoffs till the end and can get the place for league too..)

so why 5 team league?

there're simple reasons for this .. we don't want a league which will be played for half a year, we don't want dead clans in it nor we want a boring league, competition will be on highest level as only 5 best clans will play it (4 from playoffs and as we're organisators, we take the 5th place) and i'm sure there won't be known who'll be first and who'll last ..

ALSO WE NEED UR HELP!

we especially need ppl with servers and those who are able to create GTV servers ..
all clanwars will be able to be watched by EVERYONE through an GTV server .. also more servers are always needed so plz admins help us here!!

 

other rules will be known soon, there'll be some strict ones for the league, so be sure u'll read them .. also sign ups will open SOON, ALL are welcome and hope lot's of clans will participate in it and let's get away with boredom in the community!

p.s.: don't ask now stupid questions, everything u need to know by now is written in this post, u'll get to know more about signing up (it's NOT open yet!) and other rules here and in news on clan333.com, when we'll decide about it ...

not sure if this is one or not but do u get to pick your the people u go with and can u only choose from the people in your own clan ?

if u join with a clan, whole ppl in this clan can play (why wouldn't they?) or what u mean?

sorry was reading this rong thought it was a 2v2 league but yes were can my clan sine up for the madness

seems GTV only work on 1.32 ?

Check your game version: GTV requires the lastest version of the game. The current versions are: Quake 3 1.32 and RtCW 1.41. An incorrect version will produce an error message about "Invalid PROTOCOL" when connecting to GTV.

we have a 1.31 working GTV, no worries

Dont you think that is a little harsh none?

I think that is unfair on new players that come into the clans but then again during the league....... players might also leave..... how could we be able to replace them if anyone leaves?

the thing which happend in past was that clans died or someone good left a clan and joined better one during the league .. so if some clans won't qualify i don't want players from other clans coming to those one just to "help" 'em out for league and join back ..

try ur best with the clan u join and ask players to not leave u till the end .. also if u want someone to play in ur clan, talk to him now .. 

anyway, if u'll recruit anyone between it, talk to us first and we'll talk further about it ..

i think thats a good idear so if one clan goes out they cant join a clan thats still in

 

also do u think its a good idear in the wars that you have to be in for a full round eg u cant recon if u got a bad score and u cant swap the players around

players WILL be able to swap between match, why wouldn't they? if i suck, i better swap with someone who won't

i think there should be like transfer windows or something
