Hey people,

I know its been talked about here before, but it is nice to play on some different maps for a change every now and again (there is only so many times someone should play dm6 in a lifetime! ).

Anyway, to make a long waffle into a (slightly) shorter waffle, I am going to put a couple of custom maps onto the WeeD eFreeze server.

I have only put 1 at the moment (klhights), so put auto download on if u want it or u can get it from:

I wont put anymore right now cos i dont want people getting kicked or having to download too much.  I know most of us have custom maps in our baseq3 folders, so it seems odd there has been so much difficulty adopting them online.

Anyway, waffle mostly over.

If people have a map they think would be good for freeze and is not too big to autodownload let me know and maybe it can go up.  Also if u hate one I have put tell me.  I dont really mind what is on there just a bit of variety (alongside to standard maps) would be nice.

Yeah new maps! great idea in my opinion! I guess I've spent to many days of my lifetime in dm6   I have loads of cool maps that'll fit for efreeze (or freeze in general)

Shall I send them to you? Or give just the names I like best? contact me?

The only problem I see with it: Many will not get those maps, cause even with the maps to download on servers AND homepages many are too lazy or too silly to get them... don't know why - but it's definitely worth a try!

new maps is a must tooo bored of original maps ... and absinthe i guess with time ppl will get it ! (if they see ppl on server and cant  join ... in the end the only soluction they ll have to play is to download ...)

Thh, I share your skepticism about peoples willingness to spend 2 minutes downloading a map Absinthe.  This is why I have only put 1 custom map on right now (in the rotation I mean).  I want to see how it goes and let people get it, when some people have it I will put another one and so on....

That link you put for maps is cool by the way Mari, nice maps and all related to freeze servers, thanks man

Might put a post here with the maps I have uploaded to the server that people can vote for but don't appear in the actual rotation.  This way I could include some suggestions from u guys sooner and u can vote them on yourselves.

I have had klhights in the rotation for a while now and people who have played it think its a cool map and like the fact that there is something different on a server, but.....

....the number of people on the server has dropped dramatically and quite often it is empty now, unlike before when there was often quite a few people on it.

Basically, thinking abit about the situation, these no point trying new maps if most people stop using the server?

Shame really, will think on it  abit.

there is one simple solution to force new maps to people disable map voting and put the new maps in the rotation at all servers.

its a problem but theres only 2 resons why i can think they dont want to play on the new maps

Well, problem's simple: Moving to 1.32 and having new maps on servers is basically the same - If ALL and EVERY server (+Administrator) Have new maps and 1.32 In a short time 90% of the players will go and will have - if it's only some - people are lazy and stay on servers where they can play!

So - Administrators (+ clan-leaders) must decide wether to move and to have new maps or not! These Discussions are USELESS !

@ LEADERS: Please get in contact with each other decide wether to move and to have new maps - and everybody can be happy!!! Make a list of wanted maps here! and put them on the clan's websites to download - my list will be seen here shortly!!!

If leaders won't decide make a poll, set a date,... We can make an email poll... I even help if it's needed!

i agree with you guys if all the servers have the new maps and if votes are disabled well ... ppl will have no other choice than download them ... we ll try to make a link to download all the fucking maps on servers with better dl speed

one more thing i talked with some weeds and they just dont  want to move on 1.32 ... no idea why but i guess tooo complicate (and punkbuster gives lag !!!) ... you all want to move while NONE made a GREAT job with his mod !!
if all the servers were pure i guess theere would have way less chaeters and ... hop problem solve no need to move 1.32 (especially since heard some cheats things works in 1.32 .... so what s the point of moving ???) bothering soo many ppl just cause of something like 30 fuckers ... SET YOUR SERVERS PURE AND WE LL SEE IF SO MANY CHEATERS ARE STILL HERE ! for now all i see is that ppl wanted a mod 100% cheaters free NONE made it and exept for clanwars nobody gives it a try ... for now since the last version of efreeze i saw NO cheaters in pure servers ... maybe i m wrong maybe too bored of them to pay attention or i dunno but still i think moving to 1.32 is bullshit we absolutly not need it ...  the only good thing i see in moving is that maybe we ll get some new very good players ...

now if you all move to 1.32 WeeD will follow ...

humm !

every day i can see stema , spc , absinthe, sheeetos , none  and the ExS ( in spect ) playing on the  2  [DangerFreezeTeam]  servers just why you all play with  33 ping on (not 333 ping lol !  )

this servers are not pure , to play on we need to download the old  efreeze version !?!  and sound.pk3 ? no new maps on this servers ! but all goods players play on !

if to morrow we put WeeD servers on pure with new maps ( and vote disabled  ), we can be sure we will have empty servers ! and you staying playing on  [DangerFreezeTeam]

yep i agree!! last time i was kicked from weed sererver cos i didnt have the knight or something map! i went over the internet, i downloaded it, i rejoined the server (no more than 3 mins in total) and they changed it!! lol i was so disappointed!!! i wanted to see that map!! lol

im sure i will have my next occasione to try that map

sari, i play where most players are .. so if it will be WeeD's servers with most players i'll go there, if it will be bedzie on 1.32, i'll go there ..

this was a post i dod ages ago along with some others about nre maps all said what a good odea i even made map packs which contain most of the maps that mari and andi surgest, none has had them for ages, but they are not being used, any ways, i agree that the best way to get the new maps is to disable the voting and have all the severs with the same maps, but this the thing, we tryed it on the weed server by fps, and all that happend was people would play then the new map would come and they would go, then after a time about an hour the map would move on and then people would play and then the new map would come and they would go. now the problem that i for see is that people will play on the maps they have on one server then go to the next when they dont have a map then play on that server untill they get to a map they dont have then move back again, the ONLY way it will work is to have Nothing but custom maps on all servers and no origianl quake 3 maps that way htey have no choise but to play, but i fear that what will happen is that a few hardcore player like myselfe mari fragbait and other will get the maps but no one else will and that will be the END on 1.31 comuntiy dont know where they will go tho because 1.32 has lots of custom maps on it so they will have the same prob, but most likey they will download the maps there and just stay so again 1.31 die.

Glad u liked klhights None, and I know u had a chance to play it too stemma so cool...

But, as I'm sure most are aware its out of the rotation atm, although you can still vote for it of course.

I took it out cos as Soady said the server usage dropped dramatically until virtually zero. 

The solution I think most tennable is that suggested by Absinthe, if the admin of DFT, Stars, Bedzie and both WeeD servers could agree on a few new maps that were added to ALL servers then people would get them.  I would suggest putting 1 or 2 new maps on at a maximum at first so people dont spend too much time downloading. 

I think I said before I'm not so bothered about which maps people want on my server, its just some variety im after To finish, if someone with more organisational powers than myself can get the other admins together and to agree on a couple of maps to put up I'm in  (I admin English WeeD server, don't know who adminst most of others). 

I'll watch this space :P

if ppl dont  want to download maps from server i suggest we put a link in on server name to download them so everyone will see this link and maybe they ll enjoy downloading a PACK of these maps instead of downhloading them 1 by 1 ... we ll talk about that baity but i think that s the best way to make ppl get them

I HOPE YOU WILL PUT q3dm89 on server THAT MAP IS A MUST !!!!!!

Thx Baity to quote me ;-) Well I think we must make it for all as easy as possible - Not only have the new maps in rotation on ALL servers, but have a link to download the selected pack on EVERY clan's site (especially SW) of the community, that way, even our polish friends who some of them don't understand english perfectly can download them.

Hey guys!

To have some progress here, I sent a list and the maps to Frag*Bait and Soady! As there were not many suggestions, we take matters into our own hands   well, we make a map-pack - sent them to all admins and they may put in map rotation and to download on each clan site!!! otherwise it won't work!

u know when you lot were talking about moving to 1.32......... most of us are in 1.31 because we dont have a cd key 2 move 2 1.32. also that punkbuster thing is shit. I had a valid cd key and it banned me from all servers on 1.32 which use punkbuster. I was thinking.......... if we move to 1.32 and punkbuster was disabled...... would we be able to get into our servers in 1.32 without a valid cd key? or would we need a valid cd key?

you are not playing  efreeze , you are just playing freeze !

some admin have no pure server , so if the others want to run an pure server (as i try yesterday another time ) , they have an empty server, and they have to turn on unpure to see players on ! you dont think this stupid !!?? why all this work to create this efreeze mod ?
