as u all know none did a real good job of efreeze and now the cheats have came back making a the next vertion of efrreze with more anti cheats in it would be gr8 but still cheats get made all the time so we can only go on like that for so long was talking to king to day and he we got talking about cheats he told me that he asked pot viper if he cheated made me think i would of never done that but then got me thinking why cant we all just do somthing about cheaters  admins of servers are doing a good job of blocking cheaters but knowen one eg. ones with tags just get let off :S weard

so what i am gona do is set up a voting pole were we can all vote for who cheats as i am a long playing quake 3 player i feel i need to do this this comunity is just been over taken by them and no one is making a stop to it its all just talk so if we can get enugh votes for people they can be baned the admins are good but they are no cheat h8ers in there what do u all think i talked to others about this and they thought it was good but we sead we will not get noticed but if there are enugh of us we will get noticed i will make a list of cheats after and u can tell me what u think of them if u dont want to say it out loud so peeps can see your name as your scard as they are m8s of yours pm me and i will say it thx and lets get us back on top of the cheaters

 i relise this most probaly make me a h8ed quaker but if i do something for the comunity maby more will help me and we will make a stand

Can this thread be deleted? You're just pissing me off, giving all these people a bad name by putting them in a list with "possible cheaters". Your arguments are based on the annoyance of noobs being fragged by good players, do you have any proof of them cheating? I know you will say yes for some of them but I also think you need to sort your stuff better and send the "possible cheater" demo's to a more experienced player who does know how cheats work, and can tell the very skilled from the cheaters. For example Stema, Cheeetos, None, and before I would do so too, but got no quake anymore and don't want to install it to watch a demo -.-. There maybe is 1 or 2 cheaters on that list and I can tell you right away who does not cheat:

Ring2, I have never seen him cheat and I think I did receive your demo, he had some luck but don't we all some times? He didn't cheat, he is just another skilled player and he has too much honor to be cheating.

Ricsmo cheated a long while back in a clanwar, he doesn't cheat anymore, neither have I ever seen him cheat in just a tdm game. I think he doesn't deserve to be in your list.

Ven0m plays different mods and has some skill of that, doesn't cheat.

Sensation doesn't cheat either, I thought he cheated a while back but I have never been confirmed of it, this is why he doesn't deserve to be on this list either.

Mat plays a long time now, no cheats ever.

Killa, good player, nice skill, no cheats.

X-MAN, some games he rocks, sometimes he doesn't, I can't imagen someone calling him a cheat.

TIV, haven't seen him cheat, haven't seen him be 1337 either, I guess this was just based on rumours.

May I be the first to say "WTF?". You beleive us to be good players but you put us here because some noobs call us cheaters? I've been around for 2 years and everyone but you seems to know I don't cheat, same with Hah, he's been around even longer, owning with 100+ ping and what ping so ever. Bomb is one of my real life friends, comes from 1.32 punkbuster protected servers, need I say more?

Now please lock this thread before more people get pissed off for this non sense. Mad Jak, accept there will be cheaters, always, with every game, doesn't matter how good the protection is. Now just enjoy the game as it is and if you really want to do something for the community be happy with what it is and don't give us this bullshit because it doesn't solve anything.

well tbh i partially agree with lyor...i do think a list like this is very very very bad...it just points fingers at people who might never even put a foot wrong....but a noob cant get it into their head (im like the #1 to hear this from...5 years of non-stop abuse from cheat callers)
if a list like this is to exist it should only exist to leaders of clans i think...keep some of the rumours locked down...

sorry i disagree with lyor and he knows that ... there was MANY cheaters in quake-freeze 1.31 !!!! since efreeze (last version) is out i have no idea and i dont  feeel like loosing my time playing the police !

ring2 told me too he used cheats while he was in DR (i had a really funny demo about that) but ... sorry cheaters demo i cancel them fast ... they could poluate my computer by staying too long anyway he told me he didn t anymore and i believe him !

There were times when I was called a cheater, too (unbelievable but true). I hated it! Instead of being admired, you have to explain yourself! As Lyor says, there'll always be cheaters, I also hate them, and I think Mad what you were trying to do is helping the community to improve! I think this is brave and good of you, but as you can see, you can't do it like this, as you did here....

I must also say I play this game for more than 5 years now, and it's hard for me to differ from "Rail-Hero" to cheater. I have seen some cases where I am 100% sure, but won't mention any names here and now...

As for protection I would suggest moving all the community to 1.32. It's the latest version, there would be new players, and there is punkbuster, which updates all the time! It would bring a nice change into the community (perhaps).

To end my comment I wanna take up Lyor's very true comment that we all have luck sometimes! I did shots sometimes (as I think we all did) who would seem

the only problem with this is that so many of our community are here because they simply don't have a cdkey....moving the community would be very difficult with that...would lose a lot...

i cheated only at HmS vs WoD clanwar about 2 years ago. it was my first game when i used ogc (and last). bmw wanted to ban me from the all servers :S so i never used cheats anymore. and it was 2 years ago and all ppl know that i cheated... and im on the list :|

we have a good new protected efreeze mod created by None , but always the same words : bot , autofire , wallhack , cheater .... hum ...  perhaps players have to grow a little here  , stop  trying  to do best individual score , and became to play friendly , ban this shit  word " noob" !! without new player no game !!   teach them and dont be rude  !

i can say i played a lot of  mod during  a lot of years , and especially ufreeze mod , with so many good friends , good game and without this fucked problem of cheaters ! why not the same here ??

for dummies, the secret of playing good is using headphones, forced models and sound tweaks ..  u easily hear someone coming and u can adjust that in just a sec .. and also knowing where ppl will spawn and just wait someone till it will come from there .. if server is full there will always someone spawn on each spawn point .. easy as that ..

cheee of course not .. but with headphones and a bit of tweaks i can hear anything, i hear exactly where u are located, if i'm in middle platform, in dm6 for example, i can hear fighting below it or on right/left or up at red armor .... i know that u'll come from the corner, i know when i need to shoot without seeing u, cos i hear u approching me from let's say "stairs corridor"  .. i don't even need good aim to play good like that ...

same is with spawn fragging .. let's take dm6 again for example and i'm at rocket luncher, when my team scores i'll just aim at stairs and someone for sure comes out there .. i shoot him asap from far then i'm a wallhacker, cos i "couldn't know" that he'll come out from there .. lol ..

i never play with sound, just music, my advice is play a looooooooot

Well it's easy to get a very good config, just take the one of a pro quaker and change the stuff you're used to, the stuff you don't know will be fine because the pro quaker does know them and tweaked them for best performance. I got fatalities config and tweaked it how I like it. I'll be back for x-mas, but not sure if i'll be on, I'd rather be somewhere else than home .

bleh i think the pros configs are sometimes good...but they're only good for the player..not necessarily for u

ive used a lot of configs..i found lexer's sexy but meh i have vvv short attention span so its my main config for 2 secs then i have a brand new thingy

and twigg: not all can play sooooooo much i think just GET RID OF HOOK and watch everyones aim improve..then once good put in hook and watch competition go crazy

one 1.32 efreeze server is running  , cd key is disabled , ( first for a month ) , but PB is not enabled  ! you can test it !

be sure if PB enabled we will have more lag !

so i need to repeat here that the same freeze mod exist without ping problems , its ufreeze (as instaunlagged but freeze )!! ping 100 or 20 is the same playing on  !  and autofire protected !!!

Well, problem's simple: Moving to 1.32 and having new maps on servers is basically the same - If ALL and EVERY server (+Administrator) Have new maps and 1.32 In a short time 90% of the players will go and will have - if it's only some - people are lazy and stay on servers where they can play!

So - Administrators (+ clan-leaders) must decide wether to move and to have new maps or not! These Discussions are USELESS !

@ LEADERS: Please get in contact with each other decide wether to move and to have new maps - and everybody can be happy!!! Make a list of wanted maps here! and put them on the clan's websites to download - my list will be seen here shortly!!!

If leaders won't decide make a poll, set a date,... We can make an email poll... I even help if it's needed!

the problem with going to 1.32 is mutch bigger as new maps abs, with 1.32 you need a new point release and how do you tell people that dont read forums and are not playing reguraly that there has been a move.



also for example mac and linux people means they have to install quake 2 times (version switch is onley for windows) (1 for 1.31 if they want to play with people that did not move and one for 1.32)so those people probs want to be verry sure what is the end desision before switching because everytime 1 or 2 servers switch and 2 weeks later they are back.



then there are the practicle problems in 1.32 you cant use the ingame server list anymore (most not so experenced players dont use ASE) how are you gona tell the people that dont read forums where they can find the servers after you toled them to migrate. and how to set the punkbuster settings so they fall within the restrictions. (without punkbuster there is no reson to migrate anyway).


maps is just put up the new map make server pure and people see the server but cant join unless they turn autodl on and even that is a big step for some people.


i will lie if i toled i want this community to move because i dont see the bennefits. but if you do plz do it orginised make sure that all people know how to migrate instaid of onley the ones that are reading the forum. make sure that everyone can migrate (so no cdkey's cos its known that many don't have them)


migrating a community like this is not onley move the servers, and let the players in the deep. good planing and good information has to be provided for it to work.
