Oki,

Now all I have left to do is the faq and movie thing...Those will be done once I find time (will soon have 6weeks of free time so it'll deffo be done then). So as some of you may realise I need something to keep me busy other than my rugby

The idea hit me of doing perhaps a clan/community/player(s) vid....

Clan vid would be a movie specifically focusing on one clan - Length between 6-12mins

Community vid would consist of any freeze players vid and alot of them... - Length between 8-15mins

Player(s) vid would focus on a few players or just one - One player length of 4-6mins or 4 players length of roughly 13mins...

Player vid may get tricky because I'd want to involve all of you guys in some way - So you'd need to give me a list of players you'd like to see then a vote to narrow it down..

Clan vid would need the whole clan (or whoever the clan chose to get involved with the movie) to get in groups for certain scenes that i have in mind

Community may get some fuss pots about their shot not getting in...Not many probs with this at all...

Demos would be submitted by something along the lines of this:

Player:
Records match with good shots\
Watches the demo and notes the times of the shots he or she would like to submit\
Puts the times into .txt file with their name inside it also\
zip or rar compresses both the demo and the text file\
Uploads it onto a domain\
tells me on the forum that they've uploaded a file with a url included\     

Then I watch + extract what I want from it.........

To upload a file to a domain I'd recommend using lycos for the amount you get..To upload ur file onto it windows users can use Smart Ftp (www.smartftp.com)

After i have a demo recorded, is there an offline editor or program that can convert it to an avi adding effects (slow motion, different angles), or all this stuff has to be tuned while recording demo?

I recon I could get that done by next saturday (movie thing) faq will be a while because I want to get all different types of questions...

For slow motion increase the cl_avidemo number you're recording in by 30...
Example: Normal motion = cl_avidemo 30  Slow Motion = Cl_avidemo 60
           It will be explained better in the movie maker guide m8 don't worry

Also with angles you must do get it set before you even use the cl_avidemo...then, once in position, avidemo and put to movie..............Angles can be achieved by progs such as Defrag 1.9, seismovision and sdc...(www.planetquake3.net has the first 2)

As I've got 2weeks can do replying/dloading demos or whatever and then 6weeks can do editing/making etc

Afcourse ive seen it and afcourse I would love to see a movie with us as stars in it But I have like 0% knowladge of stuff like that, so I leave the comment to other people, so they might be usefull to u! Just know that I think its very cool of u to offer us this

sounds like a cool idea.. maybe te loonies can do their part...  but i dunno what all the stuff means and if all loonies wanna join this.. so ill just keep myself at distance and hear what u guys decide

damn.. i use to have some nice demos with omgwtf shots from freeze but i think i del them.. but just record every match you play and i guarentee you will get some omg shots... just like in my quake movies. well G/L

@ Missy: Don't really need a knowledge on it -- All you have to do is record a demo with some nice shots, put it onto the web and tell me the url... Hehe - - np really, is nice for both the community and myself....Community = get to see themselves in a movie for a change (except p0wner warnell - veteran ) and i need to rebuild my rep as 'nice' from when was trashed (well imo trashed)

@ Steven: All it means is put a good demo on the web, zip it up with a .txt file of the shots u want in and ur name...then tell me the url .......++ be involved, no need to hide away as i want all peeps involved in some way

@ Warnell: idd, ive got over 400 demos was going to use in all game type frag movies...But too hard to sort thru hehe...nice movies idd - bring diff music into it all ...

well i have a demo of me in the 2v2tourney with brave and dutch in which i had a so lucky shot im so proud of! the only problem would be that u have to watch hours of demos to do this work! maan!! Can i crop just the part i want form a demo and send it to u?

I'd prefer a collage of many frags/thaws done by all of us, a community demo for presenting 1.31 freeze to the world!!

meh dude, doesnt matter for length -- to sort through 1 15mins demo properally and get all angles and such....would take roughly 45mins-1.30hrs...so doesnt matter ...Just make sure you tell the me time of the shot (/cg_drawtimer 1)
btw only way to crop is to covert to avi, but im using secretish settings and such so would rather do it myself

damn.. i would if i had my i-net all i have is at work.. but il see if i can find it and e-mail it at work.... yea talk about luck.. that was like a 6 or 7 at once thaw..

 

il just put a bunch of demos i made on a ftp my friend has and download them but make sure you get them fast because he is disconnecting his internet too... and maybe i have a few "good" shots in the demos but not sure... but i will put a link on this thread to download them and then hopefully you all can share them if the ftp closes down before you all d/l them.. i will do it by saturday so check this thread saturday and download a few megs of my demos..

 

then see my luck in freeze action. there are a few demos i made on www.theloonies.tk when we played TLN.. but i will give the demos i have left

Annhilation = Good, but gets a lil over rated...Personal fave atm = Second Generation and Tricking iT_2.......Aftermath should be a stunner too

To record a demo - /g_synchronousclients 1 - /record (name) - /g_synchronousclients 0 - /sv_fps 125.....To stop = /stoprecord

MAtch2 is taken form the 2v2 toruney, i liked a lot the shot at approx 1.57 mins. maybe nothing special but i like, it was so lucky!!

The seocond demo is taken form yesterday... nothing special as well (i really dont usually do so massive shots...) but something good from 2,48 to 5 minutes, but maybe they dont worth, its up to u!

For everybody: if u dont have a web space just send me via mail your demos (not more than 5/6mb at once, pls) and ill put here on this site for downloading.
