when im playing quake 3 on gt turbo it disconects and says

HUNK_ALLOC FAILED ON 824864

               

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN AND HOW CAN I STOP IT FROM happing

                                

lower ur sound and graphics quality, the settings u currently have use too much of ur memory

dont know why it wont run quake i ahve got a  NVIDIA GeForce 5200 with 256mb so i cant see why it will not run it and it all good stuff in side the pc i made it up my self its 2600athlon xp+ with 768 of ram

 

any way here is another one for you the last time typed  /cl_maxpackets 10i forgpt to put in the 10 and now ever time i paly it comes up saying max_packet_usercmds lots any why i can stop this

 

i have a pc with a athlon xp2000+ and a GF4ti4200 and 768 mb of ram and i can play it in every setting i want without getting any errors, about your maxpacket problem, i had it to i solved it by going to te network tab in the game setting menu and put it first on a modem and than back to lan\dsl after that i went to a server and put the rate and maxpackets right again after that i never heard of the problem again

Oki sounds to me like uve switched off all the packets that are allocated to quake...Without these quake cannot even function...

Go into ur quake folder and open ur freeze config...Change the cl_maxpackets to 30 (donno ur conn so i just say the default) ur rate to 10000 and see what happens...If not let us know there's more we can try

any one know how to make it so i can see more people that are playing when i go to look at the scores in the game

eg the people are there but i can not see them

Try stick ur head in ur monitor and look down. They gotte be there somewhere!!
