Heyaaa !

Now i try to explain how to set up a little Freeze Server and how to use Freeze in Singleplayer.

The very first thing is: Have i got the mod????? U need the Freezeinstaunlagged mod , you find it on this page.

Have u downloaded it ? Good. Extract it in the Folder of Freezeinstaunlagged you will find for sure in your quake folder.

Now u need a server.cfg ... That is a very complex thing but u only need to know a few commands for the beginning. Best is u use a ready made config. The config u find on this site is bad, so here is a link to a good one :P http://www.hodload.de.gg/server.zip all command have a comment so i hope u will understand fast.

The server.zip u extract to your freezeinstaunlagged folder , be sure that the files are in the SAME directory as the .pk3's !!!! Edit the config the way you like and run server.bat to start your first server!

The Screen become gray then it go back to windows and open a blue console. Thats your server. U can type commands withour rcon and watch who connect. The message HITCH WARNING is normal!!! Dont care!

To run more then one server, edit the net_port (value + 1 ) in the server.bat and exec other config!

Okay, now u want to play on your server.

Open Quake, go to MULTIPLAYER , choose LOKAL and refresh. If u dont se teh server check after a few minutes in INTERNET where all servers are. With sort by ping it should be the first one

Or if you use All Seeing Eye just klick TOOLS |FIND LAN SERVERS

If all dont work, post the last console messages here and i will tell you why (But not the hitchwarning messages plz!!!!!!!!)

Okay now singleplayer:

Follow the instructions of making a server, but dont run the server.bat. Just go in a game (IMPORTANT IT MSUT BE FREEZEINSTAUNLAGGED, so connect to one of the actual servers) and type /exec server.cfg

Now leave arena, choose MOD Freezeinstaunlagged in maim menue and run a random game. If map load there should be FREEZE TAG displayed (if u use TDM). If there are still all weapons, but freeze just type again /exec server.cfg and reload map.

This is perfect for another chapter of the freeze FAQ (a project i had with cheetos, but damn me due tio lack of time i paused ( ).

Btw, does anybody would be able to  create a text faq qitrh common questions about freeze?

We could share tasks: poison for servers, rebtor for mods (what is a mod, wich mods r good for freeze), cheetos for technical problems and movie making (i still have the faqs u sent to me, np), and maybe hitman or lyor or any other who wants about some in-game tips.

Sounds good? I think ppl that will approach freeze for the first time will thank us a lot for that!
