alright all,

first i want to say that i realy like to play with you and it is realy fun.


i opend this topic to find out what non-standard maps are fun and wich of them playable with lage groeps. i think now the server can hold up to 24 players the need for bigger maps is become bigger. my sugestion is that anyone who knows a big of\and fun map posts a link where we can download it if more ppl like it we can put it on the download section of this site and run the map on stema's servers.
dont get me wrong standard maps are fun but i think some new maps would be fun to.

well the Meat pack would be great ...especially coloncancer(not very big but very cool)

Right well thought about it a bit, checked my maps and what other maps were on the web, but there's deffo only 1 good answer I could give . Some of the 3wave maps could work very very well with freeze..Cp5+9, w2, cp14 - Top in size + game play If you wanted some small mayhem, yet a decent sized map then the ztn maps are brill

Well, i think it would be good to add some few maps to the rotation list and maybe delete some others. What i want to say is that we cant assume all ppl playing our servers browse this site too, so we cant add a large amount of maps in one step!

First i ask u to test some few maps, try to thinking, as cheetos did, which one would be good for freeze (u know, walls and high roofs r well aprreciated here ); test by yourself, then i will test myself as well, and why not try on the servers, but not all at once!

Second, make a list of maps u dont like in rotations, pls do real names cos i dont remembers names!, and i will make a poll so that u all can vote and we can decide alltogether.

Finally, i saw i cant add more than 2 servers cos of lag, but i could try to make one server for more ppl. Hod has a good new server, with billant ping for us but with 8 slots; consider it for small ppl matches... i think of us as a whole community so if hod has a good server i can stop one of mine and add more slots, or just create a 1v1 serv, that many of u miss!

New maps I like : Qdm6++

Maps I dislike: Deva Station (DM13?), DM11, the space maps.

There are a few funny maps I'd like to recommend - I think that we could try them:

WTF - Q3A map pack (especially WTF-Q3A 02, 05, 12, 16, 1 (u'll find them at http://www.rumplehoots.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/quake.html  downloads-> P!SS match maps). Btw, P!SS is my ex-clan, but it was hell long ago...

2 small maps, converted from Unreal Tournamet: U2A and REQU2.

STEMA, I'M GLAD YOU THINK THIS WAY ABOUT THE NON-STANDARD MAPS,
I AGREE THAT WE MUST PUT THE MAPS IN SLOWLY (LETS SAY 1-2 IN A MONTH)OTHERWISE EVERYONE IS ONLEY DOWNLOADING. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THAT THERE ARE MANEY PPL WHO TURNED AUTODOWNLOAD OF BECAUSE THE LAGE FILES FREEZE DOWNLOADS AND WICH ARE NOT NESSESAIRELY NEEDED. THEY HAVE TO WAIT FOR AGES IF THEY WANT TO ENTER A NON- STANDARD MAP OR THEY HAVE TO DOWNLOAD IT FROM THE INTERNET THE LAST WAY IS I THINK THE BEST OPTION.
I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST THE MAPS WE PLAY AND WE PLAYED A FEW MONTHS AGO BUT SOMETHING OTHER THAN USUAL CAN PLAY GREAT TO, THERE ARE TOUSENDS OF NICE CUSTOM MAPS ON THE INTERNET, SO WHY NOT USE THEM.

EXUSE ME FOR THIS BAD LAYOUT BUT THE SITE IS NOT WORKING FINE WITH MOZILLA.

I dont like the space maps either. ( lup dm11 is the slime map, not a space map) dm17 i dont like and the 1 with the big bridge in the middle i dont like either. dm1 i think is to small. Thats the 1 with 1 room outside, 2 corridors and 1 room inside.

I once saw a really cool map of a big castle at 1 of my friends, i'll ask him what its called

I also downloaded the maps automaticly in quake, cause i have no idea where to put them when i normally download them from the net. But downloading in quake goes with incredible speed of 2kb lol so it takes ages

Most of the times u have to unzip the map and put the .pk3 file into baseq3 directory. Nothing hard.
