Well quickly realised there would be little/no reply to the forum on this as about 70 of the members on here do not post!

So this is here for people to give their reply and  ask any questions they may have.

Also I will only organise if enough people join at the start - more will join during the middle if it gets started up well.

So please at least vote so I have a general idea of what's going on ya.

I like the idea of making a competition in which clan should participate, after a half year or 1 year we should check score: we play 4 maps.  for winning 3 points, for playing tie (2-2) 1 point, for loosing 0 points...

Also maybe could do it like this

Each player can sign up for any of the on-going leagues -

Maybe have Clan going on continuously - Maybe final score checked at 4months or so + each clan must play each other once, say
MoR v !333!  1 wins then they cannot just play each other again, they must play another clan b4 they can re-challenge each other

-- and then each group must play each other 2times in  2v2

then 4weeks of rest from that

and then a 1v1 or so where again each player must play each other 2times --

This way there is always something going on and stuff to do for the non-clan members

So as an example:

October - Clan league starts off + 2v2 league a week later 2 matches again all groups must be done

November - Clan league continues + 2v2 nearly ends

December - Clan league continues + 2v2 ends winners announced and the count down till 1v1 commences

January/Late December (depends when 2v2 finnishes) - Clan league finnishes for 4weeks and winnners are announced -- 1v1 league starts

February - Clan league starts up roughly this time again + 1v1 league continues until all have pld each other 2times

March - Clan league continues - 1v1 shouldve finnished and winners announced + count down until 5v5 starts (4 weeks)

After 2v2 or something then have the 4weeks signing up for next bit period and then have the country thing


Like:

- 2v2 ends

- 4 weeks of signing up for ur country

- an a-c team (depending on how many sign up) for the country is created - decided by the countries players, ALL must have a say - if someone doesnt then an admin of the league will sort it out

- team leaders are assigned by the team itself


Then each country can play each other ONCE only and each country MUST play each other - once completed country with the most points wins

Let's ask www.clanbase.com for making a ladder or competition for us. Afterall here in 1.31 we got the biggest freezeinsta only rail community! I think if I send a mail, with all the names of players who want it on it... And ofcourse the clans, we can participate... We do need atleast 10 clans..!!

I said earlier the words LADDER and COMPETITION, I will explain them now to any of you who don't know the difference..

• LADDER:  In a ladder all clans are ranked on a certain place, imagine that clan 333 is #4 at start. he can challenge #3 and #2 for a war, if he wins of #2 (maybe clan MoR or some1 else) he goes #2 and the clan who was challenged (that maybe MoR) goes #4. And then you have to try to get up the ladder at #1. At the end of the season u get a winners 'name'. And a golden prize before your clanname. The best thing is that you can choose who you want to fight, and when (time and date). Whenever you like!


• COMPETITION: There are rules in it, its like a football cup. Before each match there is alraidy decided who plays who.. Like now Ajax plays Juventus. Juventus wins, and get 3 points, Ajax looses gets 0. Next matches Ajax vs Man Utd and Juventus vs AC Milan  (BTW just thought someting, that clubs arent real matches). And so all clans play atleast 2 times vs eachother. BUT IF IT SAYS MATCH 333 VS WOD WEDNESDAY 17:00 GMT, YOU HAVE TO PLAY, CLAN WHO DOESNT COME, AUTOMATICLY LOOSES.And at the end of the season they admins take a look which clan got the most points.

I prefer the LADDER system, because you can challenge any1 you want. And if you had a good match vs a specific clan, you can do it again . And there are no times you have to play else you loose.. Nono, you can plan your wars on a time you like the best And that is what I like

I think this is a great idea with the competitin and all.

When is the starting-date?

What about ping differences think it wouldnt be fair if it was 1v1 and a guy has 40 ping and the other has something like 140.

I did think about ClanBase m8 - But alot of players will have problems there for sure (even signing up causes alot of people hassle!!) so I went for the self-made league (+ can have own admins + own rules in competitions!)

With the whole ladders being better than competitions that varys -- 2v2 competitions are much funner than 2v2 leagues, the leagues tend to drag on in the small numbers and the competitions seem to bring out the better in peoples skills (in a league u can 
semi-layback as u can always challenge some1 ull beat for sure alot more than the rest - in a competition uve gotta truly go for it all the way otherwise you wont get to the finals!)
Also the clans would have a league of their own as it seems to fit perfectly with it

Good point about the ping differences - in general I think an agreement will have to come from the people/clans in general but if they cannot come to an agreement then an admin will step in and sort it out

1) Need to agree to a number to start with! atm have only 20....No where near enough tbh (except maybe a 1v1 league/compet)

4v4 = 9teams
1v1 = 36 peeps

i was thinking of who sign up - i couldnt speak to all clans (some dont understand the only language i speak) so if it is clans then ya ladder
if 2v2 competition
if 3v3/4v4 then ladder too

country not sure on how to do, gets complex with all saying 'im playing for my team and this is the rest of the team' as that may well leave others without a chance to even speak

but its also maybe best to do the easiest first, so can learn from that then set off into the country? meh

start with a 3v3 competition so 12 teams to sort with

and say a week after start up a 4v4 ladder? this leaves the ladder going a couple months and the competion goin on maybe a month

tho it was brought to my attention in a pm by reb about checking who's in:

so we need someone with a bit of knowledge on scripting a page so peeps can put their name and which they wanna play: only peeps i know who can make pages are stema,spc and luc_i (in his hobbies thing)

 

so will chase that up, in the meantime just put what u would like to have first: ie 1v1,2v2,3v3 or 4v4

the others just need too many (clans need a few but i only know 3 that might play?) so will also start up on that

 

Will keep editing to this i recon, i keep thinking of things then losing it...but itll come in the end

I say, next week I make a TEST Ladder, just to check out of the system is ok and stuff. Just with random clans. I'll mail it to any1 who whishes to. Then we can discuss if that system is good for us..

my server is a winodws 2003 server with webserver

i think it would be cool and all to have a league but the only thing is that its always the same people... its like going over to your friends house to play a halo tournament with the same 12 people all the time.. but it would hopefully help the popularity of freeze out... im really suprised that this mod isn't as popular as it should be.. i think it is one of the best teamplay mods out there

mmm well, true what u say there.. but, this league isnt hold that much so i think playing with the same people u play normally with, makes it more a challange and more fun

I agree 100%. What i love more in freeze is the team matters; the more i play this game the more i find how team play is important and funny in this game!

We always do clan wars with clans, so i dont know if a ladder with clans would be different.

Im still for the national teams 4v4; u play with new ppl (new compared with the ones on your usual clan) and against new teams and this could be exciting and new... and as teams r not made on pourpose, maybe we wont have only few "dream teams".I believe in that...and u know, playing for your country gives u some special motivations! no?

Still not sure if a national league would be ok... last 2v2 tourney (usa vs EU) toke such a long time to complete, and it wasnt a ladder... cos sometimes ppl cant play, someothers ppl is buisy and so on...

I think we could start organize a national team tourney 4v4 for 2005, what do u think? and maybe a 1v1 league, in wich u play solo and u wont have difficulties in organize matches.

Yeah national will be better in some ways, only organsing teams maybe tricky. Although, perhaps, with Dutchy's ladder sign up thingy we could get each player to put: where theyre from, email and player name
Then send all the list of player names for that country to each players email from that country. Then leave them to create some teams.
Ideally I'd like to see an A-C team. This leaves only a few out if any.

 

Sure maybe problems of getting all together for the matches, but this WILL happen in any and all leagues.
